Complementary Therapies
At ROMMER International, alongside traditional physical therapy methods, we offer complementary therapies recognized worldwide. These methods support the body's natural healing mechanisms to reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and improve overall health.

Ozone Therapy
What is Ozone Therapy? Ozone therapy is an alternative treatment method that involves administering ozone gas to the body to treat illness, heal wounds, and eliminate pathogenic microorganisms. The treatment aims to strengthen immunity, improve blood circulation, and fight infections. What is Ozone Therapy Used For? Ozone therapy is applied in conditions including herniated discs, fibromyalgia, diabetes, circulatory disorders, musculoskeletal conditions, skin diseases, and eye problems. How is Ozone Therapy Applied? Treatment can be delivered through intravenous, intramuscular injection, or direct skin application. The ozone gas is obtained from pure oxygen through special medical devices and applied in specific doses. Sessions are brief and frequency varies based on the condition.
Kinesiotape
What is Kinesiotape? Kinesiotape is a drug-free Far Eastern taping technique that lifts the skin and increases space between skin and muscles, reducing pressure in the affected area. This pressure reduction improves blood circulation and facilitates lymphatic drainage, enabling pain-free movement. What Does Kinesiotape Do? Kinesiotape is used as supportive treatment for musculoskeletal issues including muscle pain, joint strain, sports injuries, and posture problems. It supports muscle groups, prevents overload, and promotes balanced muscle activity during movement. How is Kinesiotape Applied? Application requires clean, dry skin. Adhesive strips are placed at specific angles based on treatment goals. The tape remains on skin for several days, is water-resistant, and should be applied by trained professionals.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
What is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy? PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a treatment method based on injecting plasma — obtained from the patient's own blood and enriched in platelets — into the area to be treated. Platelets are rich in growth factors that initiate tissue repair, so PRP stimulates the body's own healing mechanism and supports faster recovery of damaged tissue. What is PRP Used For? PRP therapy is particularly preferred in musculoskeletal disorders and pain management. Main areas of use: Knee, hip and shoulder osteoarthritis Tendon injuries (tennis elbow, Achilles tendinitis) Chronic muscle and connective tissue damage Recovery after sports injuries Heel spur and plantar fasciitis How is PRP Applied? A small amount of blood is first drawn from the patient. The blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma is then injected into the treatment area, guided by ultrasound or anatomical landmarks. Because the patient's own blood is used, there is no risk of allergy or rejection. The number and interval of sessions are determined by the specialist according to the patient's condition.
Neural Therapy
What is Neural Therapy? Neural therapy is a treatment method developed about a century ago by the Huneke brothers, aiming to regulate the autonomic (involuntary) nervous system through low-dose local anaesthetic injections. By restoring the body's bioelectrical balance, it is used to treat chronic pain and functional disorders. How Does Neural Therapy Work? Past infections, surgeries, scars and trauma can create bioelectrical damage in the nervous system known as "interference fields". The local anaesthetics used in neural therapy help to reset the membrane potential of damaged cells, eliminating these interference fields and supporting tissue repair. How is Neural Therapy Applied? The most important stage of the treatment is determining the correct point for the local anaesthetic. Injections may be made into the skin, muscle tissue, old scars or joints. There is usually at least a three-day interval between sessions; the number of sessions varies according to the patient's complaint. Which Conditions Is It Used For? Headaches and migraine Fibromyalgia Tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome Neck, back and lower back pain, herniated disc Facial palsy and neuropathic pain
Prolotherapy
What is Prolotherapy? Prolotherapy (proliferation therapy) is a treatment method in which special solutions are injected into weakened or damaged connective tissues, tendons and joint ligaments to stimulate the body's own healing response. The injected solution starts a controlled repair process in the area, strengthening the tissue. What is Prolotherapy Used For? Chronic joint pain and joint laxity Ligament and tendon injuries Knee, shoulder and lower back pain Joint complaints related to osteoarthritis How is Prolotherapy Applied? Solutions containing dextrose (sugar) are usually used in the treatment. The solution is injected into the points where the painful, weakened connective tissue attaches to the bone. The application is repeated over several sessions at set intervals, with each session contributing to the gradual strengthening of the tissue.
Acupuncture
What is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine method with a history of thousands of years, applied by placing fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body. Stimulating these points regulates the body's energy flow, suppresses the transmission of pain signals and increases endorphin release, activating natural balancing mechanisms. What is Acupuncture Used For? Chronic pain, lower back and neck pain Migraine and tension-type headaches Muscle spasms and fibromyalgia Stress, anxiety and sleep disorders How is Acupuncture Applied? The application is performed by placing fine needles at individually determined points. The needles are usually left in place for 15-30 minutes while the patient rests in a comfortable position. The procedure is carried out with sterile, single-use needles and is described as painless by most people.
Reflexology
What is Reflexology? Reflexology is a treatment method in which pressure is applied to specific reflex points on the feet, hands and ears to stimulate the body's related organs and systems. Stimulating these points is considered to support the body's self-healing capacity, reduce stress and provide overall relaxation. What Does Reflexology Do? Reduces stress and tension Supports blood circulation Improves sleep quality Provides general relaxation and energy balance How is Reflexology Applied? The application is carried out by a trained specialist applying pressure to the reflex points using hand and finger techniques. During the session the patient lies in a comfortable position. The procedure is a drug-free, non-invasive method applied as complementary support.
Peloidotherapy
What is Peloidotherapy? Peloidotherapy (mud/clay therapy) is a thermal treatment method in which mineral-rich natural mud, clay or peat is heated and applied to the body. The absorption of heat and minerals through the skin supports relaxation and the repair process in the tissues. What is Peloidotherapy Used For? Rheumatic diseases and joint inflammation Muscle spasms and chronic muscle pain Joint complaints related to osteoarthritis Circulation problems and general fatigue How is Peloidotherapy Applied? Heated mineral mud is applied to the area to be treated at a certain thickness and left in place for a while. During this time, heat and minerals penetrate the tissue, after which the mud is cleaned off. At ROMMER International this application can be combined with our center's natural thermal water source. The frequency of sessions is determined according to the patient's condition.
