After completing his medical education at Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Muharrem Dursun joined the Turkish Armed Forces. He worked as an intern lieutenant physician for one year at Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA), then completed his military service as a first lieutenant.

He completed his specialization training between 1976 and 1980, also at GATA. As a specialist in physical therapy and rehabilitation, he served at Çorlu Military Hospital from 1980 to 1984, and at Bursa Military Hospital from 1984 to 1989. He then worked as the Chief Physician of Sarıkamış Military Hospital in 1989–1990, after which he voluntarily retired from the Turkish Armed Forces.

After moving to Bursa in 1990, he practiced independently for one year. Since 1992, Dr. Muharrem Dursun has worked at various private healthcare institutions and joined the ROMMER family in 2014.
